New-gen Hyundai i20 Active Rendered With New Styling

Hyundai, the second-largest automaker in India, is revamping all its products. The South Korean auto manufacturer is having an intention of launching the new Elite i20 and i20 Active in the foreseeable future. Recently, IAB’s digital artist, Shoeb Kalania, created a speculative rendering of the new-gen Hyundai i20 Active that could be a highly accurate guess of what the new model would look like. 

According to the video, the i20 Active is generally based on the 2021 Hyundai Elite i20 which is expected to be launched in the Indian auto market this year. Like its predecessor, the i20 Active is inspired by the Elite i20, but with increased height and a refreshed design, which makes it look sportier. In the front, the rendered Active i20 looks fresh and sharp with edgy lines in the front. Moreover, it comes with a large honeycomb grille, LED headlights, brushed skid plate and wide fog lights inserts.

On the side profile, there is a high beltline which connects the newly-designed quarter windows. The window line also comes with accented chrome component, which is really outstanding. The new Hyundai alloy rims get petal design which looks both sporty and sharp. The production-spec Hyundai Active i20 is expected to run on 16-inch wheels. The Active i20 comes with black body cladding which helps distinguish it from the normal one. The wheel arches get outstanding plastic cladding while the roof rails make the car seem higher. Only an angle of the rear has been rendered. Nevertheless, based on numerous leaked images of the Elite i20, the i20 Active is likely to get a full-width lamp which connects the new tail lamps and the rear skid plate.

As regards the interior, the Hyundai i20 Active is expected to be equipped with a wide range of cutting-edge features which include BlueLink connected technology, a wide infotainment system, etc. The new hatchback is likely to receive its power from a 1.2-litre gasoline burner, a 1.0-litre T-GDi petrol unit and a 1.2-litre oil burner. Once launched, the new Hyundai i20 Active is expected to be priced at about INR 6 lakh (ex-showroom).
