It is worth noting that the Hyundai Bluelink in the new i20 is supported by the largest-in-segment 10 .25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that’s also compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The same convenience can be applicable for the air conditioning.

3. Air Purifier

The 2020 Hyundai i20 comes with an Oxyboost air purifier on its top-end version, thus again making it the first car in the segment to get this feature. This fitment means a big deal for many buyers, especially when air pollution is alarming in our country.

The cooling pad for the wireless charger is really important. As with the heat emitted on the inside, the phone could be heated up that can be dangerous. In the softer side, the heat can increase the charging time of the phone as well.

5. Bose Premium Sound System

The new Hyundai i20 2020 is available with a 7-speaker Bose premium sound system, again on the top-spec variants. The system offers two tweeters at the front with speakers on all the doors and a sub-woofer on the boot.

6. Multi-device Bluetooth Connectivity

This segment-leading feature on the new Hyundai i20 helps enhance the comfort quotient of the hatchback to a higher level. This features might come in handy for many people, but compared with the earlier features, it’s not that important. Still, you can enjoy the convenience of connecting multiple devices with Bluetooth via the infotainment system of the 2020 Hyundai i20. For example, you can use one phone for listening while you can enjoy listening to music on the go. Isn’t that interesting?

7. Clutchless Manual Transmission (iMT)

The South Korean carmaker has introduced the iMT (or Clutchless Manual Gearbox) on the Hyundai Venue and its cousin Kia Sonet and now it makes its way to the new Hyundai Elite i20 as well. This is another impressive first-in-segment feature that the 2020 Hyundai i20 has over its competitors in the premium hatch department.

The iMT gearbox in the i20 comes mated to the 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol. It enables the driver to shift the gear manually with a free left leg thanks to the supports of the sensors and actuators. It should be noted that turbo-petrol iMT variant of the i20 also scores well in terms of fuel efficiency with the claimed fuel mileage figure of 20.25 kmpl.

As for the Hyundai Venue, the iMT is the fastest model on the 0 – 100 km/h acceleration run. Stay tuned for our performance review of the 2020 Hyundai i20 for further info.
