Here’s a speculative rendering of the Hyundai Venue facelift. The mid-life facelift of the compact SUV is expected to be revealed within the next couple of years.

Korean automaker Hyundai launched the Venue in the Indian market last year. It rubs shoulders with the likes of Tata Nexon, Maruti Vitara Brezza, Mahindra XUV300 and Ford EcoSport. We guess that the mid-life facelift of the compact SUV is around two years away, but there’s no harm in imagining how the upcoming Venue facelift could look like. Here’s a new digital rendering of the Venue facelift. Up front, the SUV has a more sophisticated styling package and the car now looks quite sophisticated. The front fascia of the SUV looks quite similar to that of the 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe revealed a few days back.

The compact SUV now employs a wider radiator grille and it has geometric pattern inlay. The rendered Hyundai Venue is equipped with LED headlamps which looks similar to the ones offered with the ongoing model. It also gets new T-shaped LED DRLs, which makes the front fascia of the car more striking. Many of you may think that the lower part of the bumper is also new, but it’s not. It looks quite different from the India-spec Venue because the rendering job is done on the US-spec Venue, which gets a different lower section upfront.

Moreover, the lower section at the back of the US-spec Venue is also different. Talking about the India-spec Hyundai Venue, the compact SUV is available with three engine options- 1.2-litre petrol, 1.5-litre diesel and a more potent 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol unit.

The 1.0-litre petrol engine puts out 82bhp of maximum power and 118 Nm of peak torque, while the 1.5-litre oil-burner churns out power and torque outputs of 99bhp and 240 Nm, respectively. Moreover, the 1.0-litre turbo petrol mill belts out 118bhp and 172 Nm. Transmission duties are done by a 5-speed MT, 6-speed MT and a 7-speed DCT. In our market, the prices of the Hyundai Venue start at Rs 6.70 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and go all the way up to Rs 11.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the top-spec variant. The compact SUV is among the top-selling cars in its segment.
