With the new Mahindra Thar recently launching, third-party manufacturers have started working round the clock to come with new accessories for the vehicle. We look at Bimbra 4x4 who has just begun producing new custom parts for the all-new Thar.

Mahindra’s all-new Thar has been a runaway success story for the auto manufacturer, garnering over 20,000 bookings for it since its launch in October 2020. Its predecessor was beloved among owners and third party manufacturers as there were loads of customization options to make every Thar unique. The all-new Thar will do well to continue the legacy and be the new canvas for all sorts of mods and tricks.

The old Mahindra Thar was a legend among its community, one because of its impressive capabilities going offroad, and secondly because it had a thriving aftermarket for all sorts of custom modifications. You can go simple like just going for visual changes like different lights and bonnet to going all out and getting engine upgrades and portal axles so you can conquer any terrain you lay your eyes on, you get all the options.

Bimbra 4x4, one of the most well-known brands among the Indian off-roading community for their quality products, has started painting in the canvas as they plan to release new custom parts for the new Thar. As we can see in the pictures, Bimbra is prototyping a custom grille and front bumper for the new SUV, which should give it an even more butch stance than the standard vehicle while also making it go even better off-road. Additional sketches show they’re designing more parts like a new sculptured bonnet, a bonnet scoop, and new squarer fenders. The new Mahindra Thar looks like is going to a hot-bed for all sorts of mods and custom parts, which bodes well for manufacturers like Bimbra and is going to make each Thar different from others.

The oil-burner makes 130 Ps and 320Nm of peak power and torque figures while the petrol makes 150 Ps and 320 Nm of max power and torque. You get two transmission options for both the powertrains, A 6-speed manual, and a 6-speed automatic. The new-gen Mahindra Thar also comes with a low-range gearbox and a transfer case along with a mechanically-locking rear differential, which should make it as good as its beloved predecessor off-road.
