Next-gen Ford Ranger has been spotted in flesh, which gives a hint of the attire that the next-gen Ford Endeavour will be seen with.
Ford has recently launched the BS-6 compliant Endeavour in the country. The Endeavour is sold as Everest in some international markets and is based on the Ranger pickup. The Ranger is currently in its 3rd-generation and is due for a generation change soon. The pictures of the next-gen Ranger have been floating on the internet for a few days. In the leaked images, the Ranger can be seen in an undisguised form, and it now borrows the design language from the bigger F-Series pickup trucks.
With an aggressive design for the front grille and C-shaped headlamps, it gets loads of chrome on its nose. Lower down the bumper, it features a thick scuff plate that extends all way to the grille. In comparison to the outgoing model, the next-gen Ranger looks tough and boxy. Like the outgoing model of the Ranger spawned the current-gen Endeavour, the next-gen Ranger is also expected to follow the suite. Thus expect the 4th-gen Endeavour to don the same styling cues as the 2021 Ranger.
Talking of the Endeavour, it has recently been updated to comply with new cleaner emission standards. To do so, it now gets a new 2.0L oil burner that comes mated to a 10-speed automatic gearbox. The 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine is tuned to put out a peak power output of 170 PS and a max. torque of 420 Nm. It is also offered with an optional 4WD system that comes ready with an electronic terrain management system. The ladder frame SUV sits on a set of 18-inch alloy wheels, which are suspended on double-wishbone type suspension at the front and gets a rigid axle at the rear.
Outgoing model of the Ford Endeavour offers a lot of performance from its small 2.0L engine.
The Endeavour is a feature-loaded SUV and boasts of a longer feature list than its chief rival – Toyota Fortuner. It comes equipped with a full-size panoramic sunroof, 6 airbags, hill descent control, hill launch assist, driver knee airbag, parking sensors on both the ends, auto headlamps and wiper, auto-dimming IRVM, 8-inch infotainment unit with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and more. Expect the next-gen Endeavour to come with an even longer list of features. However, the next-generation Endeavour is only expected to make its first public debut sometime next year.
