Hyundai Venue is among the top-selling SUVs in its segment. It is popular among the buyers for its compact dimensions and feature-loaded cabin. In its segment, it rubs shoulders with the likes of Maruti Vitara Brezza, Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite, Ford EcoSport and Tata Nexon. Well, it got itself a new competitor today - Nissan Magnite, which is the most affordable sub-4-meter SUV in the country. So, here’s a small price comparison between both the SUVs to see how does the new Nissan Magnite fares against the big bull of this segment 'Hyundai Venue'.

The Hyundai Venue is retailed at a starting price tag of Rs 6.75 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base E trim and goes all the way up to Rs 11.65 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the top-spec Sport SX Plus Turbo DCT variant. On the other hand, the all-new Nissan SUV is priced between Rs 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and Rs 9.35 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the top-spec variant. However, it should be noted that these prices and introductory and Nissan will increase them from Januray 2021.

The entry-level variant of Nissan Magnite is Rs 1.76 lakh cheaper than that of the Hyundai Venue. Moreover, there’s a price difference of Rs 2.30 lakh between the top-spec trims of both the cars. Nissan Magnite is a good option for those who are looking out for a spacious budgeted compact SUV. On the other hand, Hyundai Venue is for those customers who want a premium sub-4-meter SUV. The Venue is offered with a total of three engine options - 83 PS 1.2L petrol, 100 PS 1.5L diesel, and 120 PS 1.0L turbo-petrol.

Talking about Nissan Magnite, it derives power from a1.0-litre NA gasoline mill, which puts 71bhp of power and 96 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes paired with a 5-speed MT. The Nissan SUV also derives power from a 1.0-litre turbo petrol mill, which is capable of shredding out power and torque outputs of 99bhp and 152 Nm. Transmission duties are done by a 5-speed MT or a CVT. In terms of dimensions, the Nissan Magnite is 3994mm long, 1758mm wide, 1572mm tall and has a wheelbase of 2500mm. It comes loaded with features like a touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, steering mounted control, fully digital instrument console, automatic AC and a wireless charging pad.
