CHEAPEST Nissan Magnite Detailed On Video

Nissan Magnite is the newest entrant in the crowded compact SUV segment. So what do you get for your Rs 4.99 lakh? Read on below to know more.

Nissan set the proverbial cat among the pigeons by launching its new Magnite compact SUV at an introductory price of Rs 4.99 lakh. None of its direct rivals come close to this price tag, the likes of the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and the Maruti Vitara Brezza all start their range at least Rs 1 lakh dearer. The Magnite is so aggressively priced that you would have to look at something like the Maruti Swift to have a vehicle with a comparable price tag and specs. We take a look at the base Magnite XE trim and check what it offers.

In the video that has been uploaded by Amar Drayan on YouTube, we get an in-depth look at the new Nissan Magnite XE. The XE may be the base trim, but it is still getting more features compared to rivals’ base variants. On the exterior, you get halogen headlamps, a chrome-finished front grille and bumper, split tail lamps, roof rails with 50 kg load capacity, black finished ORVMs and outside door handles, side turn indicators on the fender, black molding on the rear quarter window and tinted glass at the front, rear and back. You also get a rear spoiler with an LED stop lamp and there’s black cladding on the lower part of the car all round. You don’t get alloys on the XE but you still get 16-inch steel wheels with hub caps.

Moving inside the car, The Nissan Magnite gets a light grey instrument console with silver accents on the steering wheel. The seats come in a black fabric trim with light grey accents. There is a large glovebox and deep door pockets front and rear with more additional cubby holes if you need more space.

The Nissan Magnite XE is being offered with an introductory price tag of Rs 4.99 lakhs which will be valid till the end of the year. The Magnite range tops out with the XV Premium which is priced at Rs 9.97 lakh. Do note that all prices are ex-showroom.

You can spec your Nissan Magnite with a 1-litre 3 cylinder N/A petrol which makes 81 PS/96 Nm of peak power and torque figures which is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. If you want more performance though, then you can go for the 1-litre 3-pot turbo-petrol makes figures of 100 PS/160 Nm with the 5-speed manual and 100 PS/ 152Nm when paired to the CVT auto.
