This Tata Nexon owner has upgraded from his old petrol-powered mid-variant Nexon to a top-spec Nexon diesel amidst the lockdown.

Carmakers in India have started operating their sales channel with new SoPs in place. Manufacturers are also pulling efforts to reduce physical interactions as much as possible by opting for the digital route of communication. With all of their efforts coming in together positively, carmakers have started picking up sales from an absolute zero in April. Unsurprisingly, Tata Motors is not lagging behind other manufacturers in this race. Recently, a dealership in Kerela delivered a Calgary White Tata Nexon to a customer during the lockdown. Adhering to the revised standard operating procedures, the owner of the car took the delivery while wearing a face mask.

Interestingly, the owner of this Tata Nexon has bought the new car to replace his old one. He earlier had a pre-facelift example of the compact-SUV. It was the mid-spec XM variant. However, the owner had performed a lot of aftermarket mods on his earlier car to make it look like a top-spec XZ+ variant. He installed OEM roof rails, the roof was painted black, and it was shod with a set of beautiful aftermarket alloy wheels. But, now the old Nexon XM has been replaced with a facelifted Nexon XZ+.

Talking of the new car, it is the diesel-powered version of the Nexon. The owner has confirmed that the diesel variant is far more fun to drive in comparison to his older car, which sourced power from a petrol motor. Also, the XZ+ variant offers a lot more features than XM variant, such as 7-inch touchscreen for the infotainment unit, cruise control, keyless entry and go, electronic sunroof, projector headlamps, LED DRLs, 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and more.
