Tata Altroz is receiving a lot of love from the Indian audience for the way it looks. The results are evident on the sales charts as well. In the last month, Tata Motors sold a total of 4,951 units of the Altroz. Not only just new buyers but also a lot of pre-existing Tata car owners are upgrading to Altroz. On a similar note, one Aby Kurian posted about his upgrade on the twitter. This Tata patron posted the pictures of his brand new Tata Altroz XZ diesel on Twitter with a caption that read, "@TataMotors @BosePratap My 5th Tata Car & new travel mate, Altroz XZ (Diesel). Special congratulations to the entire Tata team for this beauty. From Indica to Altroz, I have a lot of memories/adventures with Tata, which includes Kerala to Kashmir trip with my Bolt #TataAltroz”.

To this, Mr Pratap Bose, Vice President, Global Designs, Tata Motors, replied, “Wow! Thanks for your continued custom! You epitomise what cars are about... miles of journeys and memories”. Bose is often seen replying to Tata car owners across various social media platforms. Also, it’s not very easy to come across people like Aby Kurian, who make it a poiint to always upgrade within the Tata Motors family.

Talking of the Tata Altroz, it is the brand’s premium hatchback offering which rivals the likes of Hyundai Elite i20, Maruti Baleno and more. It is offered with 2 engine options – 1.2L petrol and 1.5L diesel. The former is a 3-pot naturally aspirated motor that is designed to put out a peak power and torque outputs of 86 PS and 113 Nm, respectively. The diesel engine, on the other hand, is a 4-cylinder engine that develops 90 PS of peak power and 200 Nm of max torque. These engines can only be had mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. There’s no automatic gearbox on offer as of now, however, Tata Motors is working over to introduce a DCT with the Altroz in near future.

On the features front, the Tata Altroz comes loaded to the gills. It gets rain-sensing wipers, cruise control, automatic headlamps, automatic climate control and more. To keep the occupant entertained, it gets a 7-inch touchscreen display for the Harman-sourced infotainment unit that also offers Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility.
