Shahid Kapoor’s Range Rover Is On Sale, CHEAPER Than New Toyota Fortuner

There are plenty of auto enthusiasts in India who would like to buy a luxury car, but the high prices and cost of ownership keep them away. Thankfully, such cars are easily available in the used car market for a fraction of the price of the original car! Luxury cars lose value more quickly than regular passenger cars, as the demand for these vehicles is much, much lower. Recently, Shahid Kapoor has also put one of his vehicles on sale- a Land Rover Range Rover Vogue S.

Shahid Kapoor is one of the most recognisable faces in Bollywood, having earned a lot of fame with movies like Chup Chup Ke (2006), Jab We Met (2007), Haider (2014), Udta Punjab (2016), and his most recent hit, Kabir Singh (2019). Shahid is also known to be quite an avid car enthusiast, having owned a Jaguar XKR-S in the past. He currently also owns a Mercedes-Benz GLE43 AMG. The Range Rover has been with Shahid for over a decade, and the keys were personally handed over to him by Ratan Tata himself. The car is currently at Lucky Motors, Santacruz, Mumbai.

This particular model is an MY2010 Land Rover Range Rover Vogue S. It is the third generation model, codenamed (L322). It was powered by a 3.6-litre, turbocharged, V8 diesel engine, capable of generating a maximum power and peak torque of 272 PS and 640 Nm, respectively. The car has run only 37,000 Km, and apart from a few scratches here and there in the cabin, it’s in a pretty great condition. The car also sports a custom all-black theme along with blacked-out headlamps. The numberplate of the car is also a VIP one, and sports the number "700".

The Range Rover Vogue S was priced at Rs. 98.5 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai) when it was launched, back in November 2009. The current asking price for the car is Rs. 40 lakh, which is less than half the price! Considering the age of the car, which is over a decade now, the price does seem to be a little on the higher side. Still, with Shahid Kapoor as its first owner, surely the car might enjoy a little novelty. Also, you get a capable Rangie for less than the price of a top-end Toyota Fortuner (on-road price for 2.8 4WD AT variant in Mumbai is Rs 42.73 lakh), which isn't all that bad if you consider that the car hasn't run much.
