Singer-Actor Ammy Virk Gets First New Mahindra Thar of Punjab

Mahindra & Mahindra has recently launched the new-gen Thar in the Indian market, and the SUV is getting a great response from the enthusiasts around the country. Along with the common people, the all-new Mahindra off-roader has also attracted a lot of popular celebrities. Recently, singer-actor, Ammy Virk has taken delivery of Punjab’s first-ever 2020 Mahindra Thar. The new-gen Mahindra off-roader that Ammy has got is in red colour shade.

It’s quite interesting to see how the all-new Mahindra Thar is attracting such big celebrities. A few weeks back, actor Vindu Dara Singh also took delivery of his Mahindra Thar. In the video, one can see Ammy getting inside the Mahindra dealership. Then he took off the red coloured veil from the car. Afterwards, he cuts a cake with 2020 Mahindra Thar Picture on it and clicked a few pictures with the SUV. At last, Ammy can be seen driving the new-gen Mahindra Thar. Talking about the all-new Mahindra off-roader.

The SUV has crossed around 20,000 bookings in a short span of time. It was launched in the Indian market back on 2nd October 2020. It derives power from a 2.0-litre gasoline engine, which develops power and torque outputs of 150bhp and 300 Nm. Also, it gets an option of a 2.2-litre diesel mill, which is capable of shredding out 130 PS of peak power and 300 Nm of twisting force. The new-gen Thar comes paired with either a 6-speed MT or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

The cabin of the new-gen Mahindra Thar comes loaded with features like a 12-volt accessory socket, remote keyless entry, front power window, cruise control and roof-mounted speakers. It also sports a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with latest connectivity techs, removal doors and a four-wheel-drive option with mechanical locking differential. It is offered at a starting price of Rs 9.80 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base trim and goes all the way up to Rs 13.75 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the top-spec variant.
