Skoda Vision IN Rendered, Here's How Upcoming Hyundai Creta Rival Will Look Like

The Vision IN Concept was showcased by Skoda at the Auto Expo 2020. Recently, the SUV has been rendered, which gives us some interesting ideas of how the car will look. Read on for more details.

The new Skoda Vision IN has been spied testing in India several times and is expected to be launched in the Indian auto market next year. Below, we have a rendered Skoda Vision IN, which bears a strong resemblance to the concept and has been modified to be road legal. The new Skoda SUV is anticipated to compete against the Tata Harrier, Hyundai Creta, MG Hector and Kia Seltos.

The split headlight design has been borrowed from the Skoda Karoq and Skoda Kodiaq. Therefore, the LED DRLs are positioned above the LED headlights. A butterfly grille is surrounded by chrome lining. In the lower half of the front, a faux skid plate and a wide air dam are available. The mesh pattern has been continued on the fake foglight housing which is just for decoration purpose since the Vision IN is not equipped with fog lights.

On the side profile, the SUV comes with thick and heavy plastic cladding and chrome belt running around the window lining. The car gets a black roof which gets roof rails. Nevertheless, whether the roof rails function or not remains unknown. The alloy wheel design has been borrowed from the Vision IN Concept. In the rear, the most outstanding feature is the wraparound headlights with Skoda logo. Moreover, reflectors, a heavy and thick bumper, faux skid plate rear spoiler are also equipped in the rear of this rendered Skoda Vision IN.

The side profile and the rear of the vehicle gets a wide range of features.

The interior of the SUV will be equipped with top-notch features. It is likely to get premium materials for the door pads and the dashboard. A touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity will be also equipped in the new car. The Czech automaker will also install Smartlink+ smartphone technology in the SUV. On higher variants, the instrument cluster will be equipped with a fully digital TFT screen instead of the traditional unit. The SUV will also be packed with automatic temperature control, auto cruise, traction control, multiple airbags, ABS with EBD and stability program.

The new SUV will be underpinned by the modular MQB A0 IN platform which is specifically developed for the Indian auto market. Thanks to this, the cost of the car will be lowered to a great extent, which is also part of Skoda’s India 2.0 plan.  The Volkswagen Taigun and other similar upcoming cars from the automaker will also be supported by the same platform.

The Skoda Vision IN will receive its power from two petrol motor options. The first one will be a 1.0-litre TSI petrol motor which can generate 108 BHP against 175 Nm and is mated to a 6-speed MT/6-speed torque converter. The second one will be a 1.5-litre TSI gasoline burner which is good for 150 PS against 250 Nm, which will be available on the higher-spec trims only. The Vision IN will be positioned between the Skoda Rapid and Skoda Karoq. The new SUV is anticipated to be priced at around INR 16 lakh to INR 18 lakh (ex-showroom).
