Currently, Tata Harrier is the flagship model offered by the automaker in the Indian market. Early this year, the carmaker introduced the new facelifted model of the SUV with subtle cosmetic, feature and mechanical upgrades. Gifting car to someone is considered a big deal around the world. Earlier, we’ve seen a lot of videos, where kids are gifting brand new cars to their parents in India. Here's a recent incident, where a son gifted a brand new Tata Harrier Dark Edition to his parents. The video is uploaded by a YouTube channel named as Car Quest, who has done all the paperwork of the SUV and planned to surprise the owner’s parents. The Tata Harrier you see here in the video is the Black Edition of the SUV.
The video shows how the YouTuber takes the brand new SUV to the parents and surprised them by gifting them the car. The Tata Harrier you see here is the top-spec XZA trim. It comes loaded with a long list of features, which makes it quite suitable for the aged parents to drive. One can see in the video how happy the parents are while getting delivery of their car. The biggest update in the new 2020 model of the SUV is the employment of more potent powertrain. Tata Harrier is powered by a 2.0-litre diesel motor, which develops 170 PS of peak power and 350 Nm of twisting force. Transmission duties are done by a 6-speed AT. The Black Edition of the SUV comes painted in Atlas Black colour shade.
It does not employ chrome inserts like the regular model. The SUV also gets 17-inch diamond-cut blacked-out alloy wheels, which enhance the overall appeal of the car. The 2020 Tata Harrier rivals with the likes of MG Hector and Jeep Compass. It is offered at a starting price of Rs 13.83 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the entry-level XE variant and goes all the way up to Rs 20.30 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the top-spec XZA Plus Dark Edition trim.
