Thinking of getting a set of alloy wheels for your Tata Altroz? Take a look here to modify your stock wheel caps to look like alloy wheels in just Rs. 215.

Tata Altroz is designed on the baselines of Impact 2.0 design language. As a result, it looks striking and is receiving a warm response from the Indian audience. It gets a wedge-shape silhouette where the bonnet smoothly merges with the pillars. Also, to accentuate the side profile’s appeal, Tata Motors has used a set of 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. However, these alloy wheels are only available on the range-topping XZ trim. The lesser XT trim, on the other hand, gets 16-inch steel rims with nice-looking wheel caps. Interestingly, they can be made to mimic the alloy wheels of the XZ trims in just Rs. 215. Here’s a video that shows the same.

We came across this video on YouTube, and it was uploaded by Rishabh Srivastava on his channel. In the video, he shows that the wheel caps of the Tata Altroz can be modified to replicate the looks of the XZ trim’s alloy wheels for just Rs. 215. He starts by sticking the masking tape on the wheel caps. Then, he paints the wheels caps with black lacquer and leaves them to dry. According to him, it took around 2 hours for the paint to dry. In the next step, the masking tape is removed. Result of this complete exercise is that you have a dual-tone effect for the wheels cap that looks similar to that of the alloy wheel’s diamond-cut finish.

Talking of the power plants, Altroz is offered with 2 engine options – 1.2L petrol and 1.5L diesel. The 3-pot petrol motor is designed to put out a peak power output of 86 PS and a maximum torque of 113 Nm. The diesel engine, on the other hand, boasts of a power output of 90 PS and peak torque output of 200 Nm. These engines come mated to a 5-speed MT only as the Altroz fails to offer the option of an automatic gearbox.
