Along with other carmakers, Tata Motors also offers attractive discounts on their cars during the month of September 2019.
As part of Pre Navratri Festive Celebration Offers for Sep 2019, various automakers in India are providing hot discounts and benefits across its model range and the same goes for Tata cars. In fact, the Indian automobile scenarios are gloomy in recent times with the car sales volume going down at lowest in 18 years. Since the festive season is around the corner, auto manufacturers are capitalizing on the rising sentiments of the Indian buyers to offer lucrative discounts and benefits on their cars this month. Tata Motors is also offering the hottest deals on its vehicles, including the Tata Tiago, Tigor, Nexon, Hexa and more. Let’s go in details about Tata cars discounts for September 2019.
If you’ve ever wondered what the favourite Tata hatchback, it’s the Tiago to be named. The Tata Tiago first marked its market launch in April 2016 and since its launch, it has created quite a success story in the hatchback segment, making it the best-selling product in the company’s portfolio. Recently, Tata Motors has updated the Tiago hatchback with essential safety equipment adhered to the new safety norms while the mechanical package remains untouched.
It uses a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine delivering 84 BHP of max power and 114 Nm of peak torque along with a 1.05-litre diesel unit that cranks out 69 BHP/ 140 Nm of torque. Currently, the Tiago is priced at around Rs 4.39 lakh and Rs 6.61 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This September, the Tata Tiago comes with a range of tasty benefits. The petrol and diesel variants of the Tiago are available with Rs 25,000 worth cash discount and Rs 15,000 worth exchange bonus while the XZA+ variant can be had at a cash discount of Rs 10,000 and an exchange bonus of Rs 15,000.
The sedan version of the Tiago, the Tata Tigor is also included in Tata’s attractive offering scheme. After the roaring success of the Tiago in the Indian market, the sedan version of the Tiago named Tigor was launched in the country in 2017 and came back with a facelift in October 2018. The updated Tigor comes with some subtle cosmetic changes and an extended feature list, aimed to add a dash of premium to the model. Just like the Tiago, the Tigor is powered by the 1.2-litre petrol and 1.05-litre diesel engines that belt out the power output of 85 HP and 70 HP, respectively. Presently, Tata is making the Tigor available with a host of benefits, including Rs 30,000 cash discount and Rs 25,000 exchange bonus for both the diesel and petrol models. The home-grown carmaker is also working on the facelifted version of the Tigor which is due to enter the market in the coming months.
As you’ve already known, Tata’s first foray into the compact SUV segment is the Nexon. The Tata Nexon first entered the market in 2017 when the competition has already been established by some successful models like Maruti Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Creta and Ford Ecosport. The Tata Nexon is, in truth, a bit late to the party though, it has successfully carved a niche for itself within one year of presence. Particularly, it’s a great honour to be the first made-in-India to achieve five-star ratings from Global NCAP’s safety test, which creates a new benchmark in the Indian car space.
Although the Tata Nexon is a highly recognized capable product, it started to show its age amid new modern models in the segment like the Hyundai Venue or Mahindra XUV300. As a result, Tata felt it’s high time to give the Nexon another facelift which is set to be here by the upcoming festive season. In a bid to boost the sales of the current model and clear the stocks, Tata is offering two set of discounts on the existing Nexon. Any customer now can avail a cash discount of Rs 15,000 and an exchange bonus of Rs 25,000 for the petrol-powered Nexon while that of the diesel models stand at Rs 25,000 and Rs 25,000, respectively.
4. Tata Hexa
Cash discount: Rs 50,000
Exchange bonus: Rs 35,000
Tata Motors introduced the Hexa in the belief that the SUV could be a game-changer in the segment and could help Tata up the ante in the domestic passenger car space. After two years of existence, the Tata Hexa received a mild update in February 2019, seeing a slew of cosmetic changes and feature upgrades. The Tata Hexa is updated with a new Harman-sourced 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system as seen in the Tata Tiago XZ+, taking the place of the outgoing 5.0-inch unit. Other than that, it also comes with a premium 10-speaker JBL audio system. There’s no mechanical change on the new Hexa.
Henceforth, prices for the Hexa has been increased by a margin to avoid overlapping with the Harrier. Currently, the Tata Hexa is the most expensive passenger car in the company’s product range, at least until the launch of the Tata Buzzard. For September 2019, customers who are setting out to buy a new Hexa can benefit from a cash discount of Rs 50,000 and an exchange bonus of Rs 35,000.
5. Tata Harrier
Cash discount: None
Exchange bonus: Rs 35,000
Tata Harrier is the first Tata model to be based on the OMEGA ARC platform sourced from the badass Land Rover’s Lengendary D8. Officially went on sale in January 2019, the Harrier has given a hostile competition to its main rivals like Mahindra XUV500 and Jeep Compass and even outsold its adversaries to become the best-selling SUV in two consecutive months.
The Tata Harrier is quite a compelling SUV. It is recognized as a good-looking SUV with a solid build, great street presence, top-notch convenience-oriented features and safety-centric bits. Tata offers the Harrier with a 2.0-litre Kryotec diesel engine which also does the same duties on the MG Hector and Jeep Compass. The Harrier’s diesel motor could produce 140 HP of power and 350 Nm of torque and comes mated to a 6-speed MT option.
Despite being quite a competent SUV, the Harrier also can’t avoid being affected by the slowdown in the automotive industry. Having said, sales of the Harrier declined at lowest in August 2019. Therefore, for the first time since its launch, the Tata Harrier is available with a discount on offer. Tata currently gives the Harrier’s customers an exchange bonus of Rs 35,000. There is no cash discount for the SUV as yet.
6. Tata Safari Storme
Cash discount: Rs 40,000
Exchange bonus: Rs 25,000
The true-blue premium Tata Safari has been witnessing almost 7 years of presence. The mid-size SUV was first unveiled in January 2012 during the eleventh Auto Expo and then officially entered the market in October of the same year. Despite its old age, the Safari Storme still garnered a set of loyal buyers in India, which is mainly attributed to its muscular styling design.
Other than that, the Tata Safari Storme is also a true off-roader. Tata Motors made some facelifts to the Safari Storme over the years, all the ways to enhance its performance and fuel mileage. The 2.2-litre four-cylinder diesel engine that powers the car can crank out 156 PS of power at 4,000 rpm and 400 Nm of torque at 1,750 – 2,500 rpm.
There’re some rumours that Tata is planning to discontinue the Safari Storme from the market owing to the upcoming safety regulations and emission norms. While the information about the car’s discontinuation is yet to be confirmed, what we can ensure is that the company is offering the Storme with attractive offers this month. For now, customers can avail up to Rs 40,000 cash discount and Rs 25,000 exchange bonus on the purchase of the model.
7. Tata Bolt
Cash discount: Rs 70,000
The Bolt hatchback is the next car to come with huge discounts and benefits this September. Has been on sale in the country for around four years, the Tata Bolt is still a solid contender in Tata’s hatchback lineup that boasts good ride quality and a roomy cabin for users, to say the least. However, when talking about the features, the Tata Bolt fails to endear itself to other newer competitive vehicles. Powering the Bolt is a 1.2-litre 4-cylinder turbo-petrol engine and a 1.3-litre 4-cylinder turbo-diesel unit, which can belt out 90 HP/ 142 Nm (for the petrol model) and 75 HP/ 190 Nm (for the diesel version). The Bolt is currently on offer with the overall benefits to the tune of Rs 70,000 comprising a cash discount only.
8. Tata Zest
Cash discount: Rs 70,000
The compact sedan counterpart of the Tata Bolt – the Tata Zest- also comes with an identical Rs 70,000 cash discount this month. The Zest shares the same 90 HP 1.2-litre petrol engine as well as a 75 HP 1.5-litre diesel unit with the Bolt sibling but it also gets an option of a 90 HP 1.4-litre turbo-diesel motor along with an AMT option on the boards
