I think we all can agree that the government bureaucrats who serve our country and the government are in dire need to change their official vehicles. And the Tata Harrier can be the perfect and modern replacement to the dinosaur that is the HM Ambassador. With the government’s Make in India initiative in place already to emphasize domestic built products, it will be fitting that one of India’s most venerable and old marques providing their All-new Harrier for the bureaucrats.

In this video, we can see a digital render of how a bureaucrat version of the Tata Harrier will look like. The government spec Harrier has an elongated wheelbase, which should free up more space inside for the passengers, and has two B-pillars instead of one to compensate for the extra length. It gets what looks like some hardy silver steel wheels which should make it last longer and gets an all-black treatment. To make sure that you’re looking at a government vehicle, it comes with the Indian flag on the fender and has a tricolour motif on the grille as well.

Powering the butch Harrier is an FCA-sourced 2.0 litre diesel making 170Ps and 350Nm of peak power and torque figures and is mated to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed auto on the XM, XZ, and XZ+ trims. The Harrier comes equipped with climate control, keyless entry and go, tilt and telescopic steering adjustment, six-way power-adjustable driver's seat, auto headlamps, and wipers, panoramic sunroof, xenon projector lamps, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment with JBL audio, and semi-digital instrument cluster.
