Being the official car of the Indian Premier League (IPL) T20, the Tata Harrier is being showcased in all matches of the sporting event. Recently, the Tata Harrier has showcased its strength by being undamaged after being hit by the cricket ball during a Six that was hit in the cricket match.

Launched in January 2019, the Tata Harrier has already recorded a high sales number, thanks to its long list of top-notch features and an aggressive price. This popular SUV has been chosen as the official car of the ongoing IPL T20, which is one of the most well-known sporting events in India. In 2018, the Tata Nexon undertook the same duty. The Tata Harrier is displayed in the cricket stadium throughout all the matches of 2019 IPL T20. Placed at the boundary line, the vehicle is at the risk of being hit by a ball, but the possibility is tiny.

The Harrier recently gets hit by a ball in a match but remains almost intact.

However, unfortunately enough, recently, this tiny possibility turned into reality. In the cricket match No. 21 between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Rajasthan Royals (RR), Shreyas Gopal from RR throws the ball to Chris Lynn from KKR who hits the ball for a six. The ball made its way to the Harrier as fast as lightning and hit the windscreen. Watch the video below to get an insight into how the incident happened.

The ball hits the front windshield glass of the displayed car. But shockingly this happened.

The IPL T20 official website now entitles the video as “TATA Harrier strong enough for a Lynnsane SIX”. Why strong? Because after being hit by the ball, the windscreen of the vehicle remains totally intact. Underpinned by the OMEGA platform, the Harrier is the most modern SUV from the home-grown automaker. The Tata Harrier has been aggressively priced from INR 13 lakh onwards. In February, it recorded a good sales performance of around 2,500 units. So far, 10,000 units of the Harrier have been ordered and there's a waiting period of three to four months.
