Tata Motors released two new advertorials for the Nexon on the occasion of Tourist Day, and they urge the buyers to get a dose of adventure. Take a look at them here.
With the pandemic, travelling has become a tough task. Borders across the globe are temporarily sealed, and in-land borders require you to be tested for the novel Coronavirus. On Tourist Day – September 27, the human race celebrated the day by sharing photographs of the time when they could travel freely. Tata Motors, however, celebrated it by releasing a new advertorial for the Tata Nexon, which urges the buyers to get adventurous and travel to the places less explored. With this ad, Tata Motors is also shedding light on Nexon’s soft-roading capabilities. The Nexon’s new commercial also has a quote, which reads as ‘Look Within. You’re Made of Adventures.’
While the Nexon comes in a front-wheel-drive format only, it boasts of decent off-roading capabilities. The compact-SUV gets a ground clearance of 209 mm along with a water wading depth of over 300 mm. In another image, Tata Motors is signifying the use of sunroof, we believe. As, different species of birds are flying around the car, which occupants can see via the sunroof. Also, Tata Motors has mentioned that the Nexon can now be had at a starting EMI of Rs. 5,999.
As of now, the prices of Tata Nexon start at Rs. 6.99 lakh for the base-spec petrol trim and top out at Rs. 12.70 lakh for the top-spec diesel variant with the dual-tone paint scheme. It rivals against the likes of Hyundai Venue, Ford EcoSport, Mahindra XUV300, and recently launched Kia Sonet and Toyota Urban Cruiser. Also, it comes up as the most-affordable sunroof-equipped compact-SUV with XM(S) trim priced at Rs. 8.36 lakh.
The Nexon can be had with either of the two available engine options – 1.2L turbo-petrol and 1.5L diesel. The 3-pot turbocharged petrol motor is designed to push out a rated power output of 120 PS and max torque of 170 Nm. The diesel engine, on the other hand, is a 4-cylinder unit and develops a peak power output of 110 PS and peak torque of 260 Nm. The gearbox options for the Nexon include a 6-speed MT and 6-speed AMT.
