The Tata Nexon is a strong seller for the auto giant in the subcompact SUV segment. Today we came across this render which changes the Nexon into a purposeful and hardcore off-roader.

The Tata Nexon is one of the best subcompact SUVs you can buy currently if you do not want to buy the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, or the Kia Sonet.  It comes with feature-loaded trim levels, flexible powertrain options, impressive build quality, and is one the safest vehicles in its class. The Nexon received a mid-life refresh in 2020 which featured a redesigned front-end and beefed-up feature list. Tata’s subcompact SUV is also quite popular among the aftermarket modifying community, with accessories easily available. Today we came across this render of a Tata Nexon, which is imagined as an off-roader ready to go anywhere.

The picture has been uploaded by _kenei_luho_designs_ on Instagram. As you can see, except the bodyshell, everything else of this Tata Nexon has been modified to make it a hardcore off-road vehicle. The track width of the SUV has been widened to fit the new dished alloys shod with off-road focused tyres and stock suspension has been replaced with longer travel off-road suspension. The front-end gets new auxiliary fog lamps with an LED light bar and winch. There’s a huge air intake for what looks like a small-block V8 engine. The roof gets a new roof rack that has the spare wheel mounted on it and gets dual LED lightbars.

The refreshed Tata Nexon gets an updated cabin with the likes of a new steering wheel, same as the Nexon EV’s, new dashboard trim with more of the tri-arrow motif exterior, and new seat fabric. The Nexon also ditches its analogue dials for a full-digital setup. The features list sees major additions in the form of automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, tyre pressure monitoring system, cruise control, a sunroof, and ORVMs with auto-fold function.
