Here's a tractor competing against Tata Safari Strome and Toyota Fortuner in a game of tug of war. Read here to know who won the match.

Tug of war is a game to showcase outright power and grip on the ground. It is generally played by two teams at either end of a rope. However, as we are heading forward on the route of modernization and industrialization, folks can be seen participating in this sport via their cars. It is done for entertainment purposes only but does help in showcasing the car’s true potential. We came across one similar video on YouTube, where a Tata Safari Storme and Toyota Fortuner can be seen competing with a tractor in a game of tug of war. The video was uploaded by Abhishek Kumar on his channel.

Initially, the Fortuner itself can be seen competing against the New Holland Tractor, and it miserably fails. A Tata Safari Strome is then also coupled to the Fortuner. However, this combination does not turn out to be a successful one either. The tractor pulls both the SUVs with pretty ease. It should be noted that the tractor here had a 4WD layout, while the SUVs were in a 2WD configuration. Also, the Fortuner has low-profile rubber shod on its aftermarket alloys, which is a downer in such soft terrain.

Another aspect that worked in favour of the tractor was the way two cars were joined together. The Safari Storme and Fortuner should’ve been joined independently to the tractor. This way, there would’ve been a constant tension in the ropes holding the cars. It can be seen in the video that at a certain point the rope joining Safari Strome to the Fortuner has no tension. Thus, Safari Strome’s efforts go all in vain.

The New Holland Tractor here seems to be a powerful machine but these SUVs are not short of power either. Starting with the Safari Strome first, it features a 2.2L 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine. The oil burner is good to belt out 154 BHP of peak power and 400 Nm of max torque. Toyota Fortuner, on the other hand, boasts of a 3.0L 4-cylinder turbocharged oil burner. It is capable of churning out 169 BHP of peak power and 360 Nm of peak torque.
