Excited to have a look on the production-spec Tata Sierra EV? Here's a digital rendering of the same. Read on to take a look at it.

Tata Motors is on a roll these days. The carmaker showcased a slew of products at the 2020 Auto Expo. Some of those were in the production-guise and are lined-up for launch by next year. However, the Indian manufacturer also showcased some concept models at the auto show, and one of the most interesting of all was the Sierra EV Concept. It was striking enough to bring back the sweet old memories of the 2-door off-roader that Tata Motors sold in the 90s. But since the Sierra EV was showcased as a concept model, it featured a lot of flashy elements which are not road legal. Therefore, the Sierra fans were left waiting with anticipation to have a look at the production-spec Sierra EV. However, the wait seems to have come to an end, as here’s a digital rendering of the production-spec Sierra EV.

Tata Sierra EV Rendered As Production Model – Looks Fantastic!

We came across the above image via the social media account of Praveen C John. Talking of the changes that his illustration of Sierra EV has in comparison to the concept model, there are many. On the front, it now misses out on the vertically-split headlamps for rather conventional units that are infused with a lot of LED elements. Also, the dummy grille has grown up in size.  The lower end of the face gets a revised bumper that houses the fog lamps in a vertically-stacked fashion. It gets a chunky chin as well, which comprises of a dual-tone scuff plate.

On the sides, the most important of all changes is the 4-door layout. Unlike the concept, it gets four doors like other Tata offerings. This way, Sierra EV would boast of increased practicality. While the alloy wheel design remains the same, they are now painted in black. The dual-tone paint job looks appealing too. Somehow with this new face, the Sierra EV looks bold and packs in a Land Rover-ish appeal.

The Sierra EV is likely to go on sale by 2022. It will be powered by Tata Motors’ Ziptron EV technology and will source power from a high-voltage battery pack. The driving range on the Sierra EV is expected to be around 400 km on a full charge. If rumours are to go by, the carmaker would also launch a diesel-powered version of the Sierra.
