Tata Tiago is a well-sorted small hatchback that can be had in 6 vibrant colour options. But, how would it look like in an all-black Dark Edition like its elder sibling - Harrier? Take a look here.

Tata Tiago is a small entry-level hatchback from the indigenous carmaker. Earlier this year, it was updated with a BS-6 compliant and some cosmetic changes to freshen up its appeal. With the update, Tata Motors also introduced a set of new colours. But, it missed on a black paint scheme, which is offered on the bigger Harrier as a part of Dark Edition. Us inquisitive folks, full of innovation, thought of rendering one for our readers. The task was simple, as our in-house design specialist – Shoeb R. Kalania was all-set to perform the job.

He created a digital rendering of the Tata Tiago Dark Edition with similar treatment as the Harrier Dark Edition. In the picture above, it can be seen that Tiago looks dazzling in an all-black paint scheme. Talking of the changes, chrome finish seen on the Humanity Line and fog lamp bezels have been replaced with a piano-black finish. Also, the headlamps now get a set of projectors to perform the illumination duties. Moreover, the 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels have been replaced with all-black units. Overall, the Tiago looks gorgeous in this all-black avatar.

If Tata Motors plans to introduce the Dark Edition of the Tiago, this all-black theme will be continued on the inside as well. Talking of the features, Tiago offers a pretty long list of equipment. It comes fitted with a 7-inch Connectnext infotainment unit from Harman that comes coupled to 4 speaker and 4 tweeters in total and also offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. It also gets the convenience of automatic climate control, height-adjustable driver seat, cooled gloves box, tilt-adjustable steering wheel and more.

To ensure the safety of the occupants, Tiago gets dual front airbags, front seat belt reminders, high-speed alerts, seat belts with pre-tensioners and load limiters, rear parking sensors, ABS with EBD, corner stability control, rear defogger, and front and rear fog lamps.  Tata offers Tiago with a 1.2L 3-pot petrol motor that pushes out a peak power output of 86 PS and max torque of 113 Nm. The gearbox options on the Tiago include a 5-speed MT and a 5-speed AMT.
