Tata Tiago is one good-looking hatchback that is on sale in the country today. It is also the smallest car in Tata Motor’s current vehicle line-up. According to the owner, the BS-6 Tiago is an extremely capable car. He adds that he was looking for a small car with decent build quality in a budget of Rs. 7.00 lakh. Also, he specifically wanted a red colour option, thus ended up buying the Tiago. The owner adds that in his ownership tenure of around 4 months, he has clocked over 3,500 kilometres on the odometer, and the car feels refined to him. He further claims that the maintenance cost of the Tiago is lower than that of its chief rivals, while it offers safety standards of cars more expensive than itself.

Talking of the fuel efficiency, he says that he received a mileage of around 19 kmpl in a tank-to-tank test. Talking of the cons, he says that if he has to nit-pick, the panel gaps are a little annoying. He also comments on the NVH levels, which he believes are acceptable for the segment that Tiago sits in and the price it comes for. Prices for the Tiago start at Rs. 4.69 lakh and goes all the way up to Rs. 6.73 lakh. The Tiago is currently offered with a 1.2L 3-pot petrol motor that puts out 86 PS of peak power and 113 Nm of max torque. It can be had mated to either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed AMT.
