If you have ever wondered the usefulness of 4x4, you should have a good look at this video of a Ford Endeavour makings its way through deep fresh snow

Ford Endeavour is one of the finest 4X4 SUVs that are currently on sale in the country. Based by a potent ladder-frame chassis that also underpins the Ford Ranger, Endeavour is capable of traversing the treacherous terrains with ease. We have seen and experienced the Endeavour’s capabilities in person, but here’s a video that came as a surprise to us. In the video, the SUV can be seen making its making way through fresh snow, which is as deep as 2 feet. We came across this video via YouTube channel of 4x4tourer.

Driving on fresh snow is always a challenge, as the tyres don't have any hard surface to grip on. Moreover, with the heat of tyres, the snow melts and then freezes again due to sub-zero temperatures. Therefore, it becomes a tough job for the SUV to make its way through fresh snow. However, the Endeavour in this video is making it look like a cakewalk. Moreover, to ensure that the Endeavour has enough traction in the snow, the owner of the SUV is using snow chains for added grip.

Credits for this performance of Endeavour in deep snow go to its immense off-roading capabilities. It comes with an advanced 4x4 drivetrain that comes with a Terrain Management System, which offers four modes in total – Sand, Snow, Mud, and Rock. Talking of the safety features, the list includes seven airbags, rear parking camera, front & rear parking sensors, hill launch assist, hill descent control with speed adjustment, traction control, and roll-over mitigation.

The transmission duties are performed by a 10-speed AT, which is standard across the range. Prices for the Endeavour start at Rs. 29.99 lakh and go up to Rs. 35.10 lakh.
