This Honda Civic Looks Like It's Imported From Japan

The Honda Civic has been one of the longest produced vehicles from the Japanese automakers, with the first generation being launched close to half a century ago. The 8^th-generation Civic was the first one that Honda brought to India in 2006, but low sales numbers meant it was discontinued from the line up 6 years later in 2012. The Civic did gain a cult following among the Indian automotive enthusiasts as it came with a 1.8-litre VTEC N/A petrol engine which is a Honda trademark and a very easy to tune it aftermarket as well. It also had a polished ride and handling package. Today we came across this example of the Civic which looks to be straight from Japan.

The video has been uploaded by Beyond Level on Youtube where we can see this heavily modified 2007 generation Honda Civic. It gets a GT body kit which gives it a custom front end with a gaping grille, larger air dams and an integrated front splitter. There are new projector headlights with integrated LED DRLs, and there are additional DRLs on the sides of the front bumper. The front-end also gets a sculpted bonnet and a race-spec external tow hook. On the side, it gets front scissor doors, arguably the most striking feature of the whole car. The front doors also get carbon-fibre on the ORVMs and front quarter glass. The flared wheel arches house these multi-spoked 10.5 J alloys finished in gold, and are wrapped in 245-section rubber. The rear gets a huge aftermarket spoiler, smoked effect LED taillights, custom bumper with a diffuser and new dual free-flow exhausts. Also, all the stock Honda badges have been replaced with Type-R ones.

The interior of this Honda Civic also gets a thorough overhaul with the dashboard now covered in carbon-fibre while the seats are now clad in leather and Alcantara. There’s an aftermarket 9-inch android touchscreen infotainment system that controls the JBL speakers and subwoofer. The stock foot pedals and gear levers have been replaced for aftermarket units which give a sportier feel and new 7D mats cover the floor. Overall, this is a very extensive modification and gives this Civic a very JDM-spec look.

Speaking of the Honda Civic, it returned after a hiatus of 6 years with an all-new generation first showcased at the 2018 Indian AutoExpo. Currently, it is the highest-selling executive sedan in the market and is priced between Rs 17.94 lakh – Rs 21.25 lakh, ex-showroom. You get a choice of either a petrol or diesel, with the former a 1.8-litre i-VTEC petrol making 140 PS/174 Nm of peak figures while the oil burner is a 1.6-litre i-DTEC unit which churns out 120 PS/300 Nm of max figures.
