Take a look at this digitally modified Tata Nexon facelift, it looks macho, irrespective of the angle you look at it from.

Tata Nexon in its facelifted avatar looks praiseworthy. Based on the lines of Impact 2.0 design language, the Nexon boasts of a right balance of looking posh and butch. It gets beefy wheel arches, high-set bonnet, sleek LED headlamps, and black cladding, which help it with the SUV-ish appeal. However, the small dimensions, limited suspension travel, and 16-inch wheels are a giveaway that Nexon is a sub-compact crossover. To help it get away with this fact, AK Designs has digitally tweaked the Nexon to help it look more macho. It now sits on a set of steel rims with massive balloon tyres in place. These rims feature bead locks as well.

The wheel wells have been trimmed to fit these massive tyres. Also, custom wheel arch extensions have been used here. A side step is also fixed on this Nexon to ease the ingress and egress process. If examined closely, one can spot solid axles on both the ends. On the front, the bumper has been customized a bit to increase the approach angle. Also, it now gets a more durable scuff plate along with two tow shackles and a winch. The designer has modified the front fenders too. They now get a set of extra creases and recesses.

Other design cues, however, remain untouched. Nevertheless, a roof rack would’ve accentuated the overall adventurous appeal of this modification. While all of these conversions and changes look appealing in this picture, it is nearly impossible and unfeasible to perform them in a real-life scenario. The Nexon is a front-wheel-drive car with McPherson struts type suspension. Therefore, fitting a solid axle at the front is next to impossible as it would require different mounting points and a transfer case.

The Nexon comes with two engine options – 1.2L turbo-petrol and 1.5L turbo-diesel. The 3-pot turbo-petrol motor puts out a rated output of 120 PS/170 Nm, whereas the turbo-diesel engine generates 110 PS/260 Nm. These engines come mated to either a 6-speed MT or a 6-speed AMT. Talking of the price, the Nexon starts at Rs. 6.99 lakh for the base-spec XE trim and tops out at Rs. 12.70 lakh for the range-topping XZA+ (O) variant with the dual-tone paint job.
