This is the World's Fastest Suzuki Jimny With 200HP On Tap

Suzuki Jimny is a mini-SUV which was first introduced to the world in April 1970. It has now completed 50 successful years on the production line. Till date, Suzuki has sold over 2.85 million copies through four generations. It is available in 194 countries. The 4th generation model was launched a couple of years ago but it retains all the characteristics of the original model, which include compact dimensions, peppy petrol engine, ladder-frame chassis, and hardcore off-road capabilities. The Jimny enjoys a large fanbase, therefore, modified versions with off-road-kits are in plenty. Although, today, we've got something different and, arguably, a tad wilder. The modified Suzuki Jimny you seen below has a massive power output of 200 PS and claims to be the fastest example of this mini-SUV on the face of our planet.

This powerful Suzuki Jimny is the artwork of Mr. Carlos Gono of Autoplus. He can be seen describing the modifications that run on this Jimny in the video above. It is his second 4th gen Jimny, which he ended up buying after reading that a UAE-based company is developing a turbo-kit for the car. Thus, it is evident that the first and primary mod on the engine of this Jimny is a turbocharger kit from F-Performance UAE. The kit comes with custom injectors, ECU, and a turbocharger.

Other modifications on this Suzuki Jimny include a wastegate blow-off valve, Autoplus side exhaust system, RSR lowering springs, Autoplus brake rotors and pads, 18-inch Volk Racing concave alloy wheels and a set of Recaro bucket seats. With these modifications on its side, it produces a rated power output of 200 PS, which is sent to all-4 wheels of the car with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Also, Mr. Carlos has removed the tailgate-mounted spare wheel to get rid of some weight.

The Jimny Sierra was showcased in India in February at the 2020 Auto Expo. Maruti Suzuki initially had no plans to launch the car in India. However, the brand received a warm response for the model at the expo and is now considering producing it locally for domestic and export markets. Rumours abound that the Indian market might get a 5-door version of the mini-SUV with the same 1.5L 102 PS/130 Nm K-series engine, Jimny is expected to carry a starting price of around Rs. 10.00 lakh and is likely to be sold through the NEXA range of premium dealerships once it's launched here.
