Maruti 800 was designed with the sole aim of offering an affordable car in the Indian market. For over two decades it was the cheapest car in the country. Launched in India in 1983, it was on sale until 2014. The 800 has now become a collector’s delight, and a lot of modified and restored examples can be seen on the roads. However, here’s one, which boasts of some extensive modifications and looks menacing from every angle. This modified Maruti 800, although, isn’t a real example. It is a digital rendering, instead. The man behind this crazy-looking Maruti 800 is Vishnu Suresh.

To start with, it wears a black paint scheme and gets a widebody kit. The kit comprises of a custom lip for the front bumper with splitters as well. On the sides, fender flares can be seen over the wheel arches. Also, custom side skirts are fixed on this Maruti 800. The ORVMs are changed as well. And, it now sits on a set of deep-dish chrome-plated alloy wheels. On the rear, the designer has managed to fit a custom diffuser with splitters. In the centre, dual exhaust tips can be seen. The tail lamps are now revised unit and feature a different glow pattern. It also gets a massive spoiler, which is mounted on the roof.

This modified Maruti 800 now sits lower to the ground with reduced ride height. Therefore, it sports an athletic stance. Since this example is a digitally modified one, it doesn’t get any changes to the powertrain. The 800 was sold with a 796cc 3-pot petrol motor, naturally-aspirated of course. The engine was capable of pushing out a peak power output of mere 37 horses with two valves on every cylinder. However, at a later stage, the motor was updated with four-valve design. Resultantly, the power output bumped up to 45 Bhp. The engine came mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox. For a shorter duration, however, a 2-speed AT and 5-speed MT were also a part of the package.
