Here’s a modified Toyota Fortuner Legender from Thailand that looks superb with an aftermarket body kit.

Toyota India has just launched the facelifted version of the Fortuner along with the Legender in the Indian market. However, before that, the Japanese auto giant has already introduced the new Fortuner facelift and Fortuner Legender in international markets like Thailand. The Toyota Fortuner Legender itself is a rugged-looking model. However, IndianAuto just found an example of a modified Toyota Fortuner Legender that looks a lot sharper than the regular version.

The modified Toyota Fortuner Legender features a new body kit built by Thai-based automobile design workshop named Tithum. The fully-grown SUV retains the original front bumper and vertically-split front grille which are already aggressive. The Legender features new front and rear side skirts with custom bash plates underneath. There’s even faux quad exhaust design that also raises the bar of sportiness in the vehicle. The modified Fortuner Legender gets customized Toyota badges at both the front and rear end that looks brilliant as well.

The aftermarket alloy wheels are blacked out and shod with Toyo rubber. Blacked-out door handles, piano-black finished body cladding on the wheel arches, patterned vinyl on the rear quarter panel, custom spoiler, etc. are some of the highlighting customization jobs that the new Fortuner Legender received.

The aftermarket body kit surely reduces the departure and approach angles of the new Legender by quite a margin, which isn’t good for the off-road challenges but giving the car a much sporty appeal.

In Thailand, the Toyota Fortuner Legender is offered with two engine options including a 2.4-litre turbocharged diesel and a bigger 2.8-litre turbocharged diesel motor. While the former is capable of delivering 151 PS of power and 400 Nm of torque, the 2.8-litre engine can generate 206 PS of power and 500 Nm of torque. A 6-speed automatic transmission is available for both the engine options.

As for India, the Toyota Fortuner Legender derives the power from a single 2.8-litre diesel engine that belts out 204 PS of power against 500 Nm of torque. This mill also comes mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. Currently, the Toyota Fortuner range is going on sale in India at the prices starting from Rs 29.98 lakh for the base Fortuner Petrol MT and going up to Rs 37.58 lakh for the top variant Fortuner Legender (all prices, ex-showroom).
