While the Maruti Swift will soon get a facelift, this aftermarket RS grille is for all those who can't wait to get the updated model

Maruti Suzuki first launched the Swift way back in 2005, and it has been nothing but a game-changer in the Indian car market ever since. It looked different and quirky from the mini hatchbacks and tallboys that were ruling the roost back then and provided a driving experience that set such a benchmark that it took rivals years to catch up. A past winner of the Indian Car of the Year in 2012, the Swift is in its third-generation currently, and still manages to sell twice the number of units each month compared to its direct competitors in the B-segment.

The Maruti Swift is due for a facelift very soon as well, with the updated version already launching in a few international markets. The facelifted version comes with updated details and features like revised headlamps with all trims getting LED lights front and rear while the grille gets a redesign with a new mesh pattern.

But what if you’ve just bought a current version Maruti Swift and don’t want to feel outdated within months when the facelift launches? Not to worry as the updated grille has already arrived in the aftermarket for you to easily retrofit to your pride and joy.

Uploaded by Caarobaar-Ludhiana over on their Instagram page, you can see that they have imported the grille from Taiwan, and is available for purchase currently. Do note that this grille for the Maruti Swift is in 2018 Swift RS spec, which hasn’t been launched in India but is a firecracker of a car in markets abroad. The grille is finished in a matte-black finish with a red stripe running the length of the grille just below the badge, giving the current Swift a sportier and more aggressive character when viewed from the front.
