Check out this second hand Tata Nano that is available for an extremely cheap price, lower than even a scooter!

Tata Nano was introduced in 2008 was the most affordable car in the world, with prices starting at Rs. Rs. 1.12 lakh (ex-showroom, Pantnagar) during launch. The car was received with a warm welcome initially, but a string of unfortunate accidents, in which improper installation of aftermarket electrical accessories caused a few models to spontaneously combust, caused the sales to dwindle. In 2018, Tata Motors was forced to shut production after the sales had halted completely. There are a few brilliant examples in the used car market though, which you can consider as your next car purchase.

The Tata Nano shown here is a 2012 model and has been registered in Goa. The previous owner has only clocked a mere 35,000 km on the odometer. The exterior of the car shows no signs of damage and the interior also looks clean and pretty. As for the equipment, the Nano was quite frugal in that department. To keep costs low, it didn’t have an extensive features list. Still, on this top-end variant, you get Alloy wheels, Power steering, Air Conditioning system, power windows (front row), Art leather seat covers, and a factory-fitted stereo sound system with Bluetooth connectivity.

The engine powering the Tata Nano is a 624cc, naturally aspirated, inline-twin, petrol engine, capable of generating a maximum power of 38 PS and 51 Nm of peak power and torque figures, respectively. This motor was mated to a 4-speed manual transmission as standard, and a 5-speed AMT transmission was later added as an option on higher trims. Tata Motors also had plans to introduce an 800cc, turbocharged, two-cylinder, diesel engine, which could produce 40 PS of maximum power and 60 Nm of maximum torque. An electric version was also in consideration. Sadly, these alternative powerplants were never introduced in the market.
