The fifth generation Honda City will launch next month and will go on to rival the likes of Hyundai Verna, Maruti Ciaz, Skoda Rapid, VW Vento and Toyota Yaris

Japanese automaker Honda recently unveiled the all-new City ahead of its official launch next month. Once launched, it’ll compete with the likes of Hyundai Verna, Maruti Ciaz, VW Vento, Toyota Yaris and Skoda Rapid. The new-gen City will get a lot of upgrades like new engine, features and design for the exterior as well as the interior. Official bookings of the upcoming sedan have been initiated at all Honda dealerships across the country. In spite of getting many segment-best features, the C2-segment sedan still misses out on a couple of features that are offered by its direct rival Hyundai Verna. So, here are the top 5 features available on the 2020 Hyundai Verna facelift, but not on the upcoming new-gen Honda City.

Top 5 Features Of 2020 Hyundai Verna Not Present On All-new Honda City

Diesel-Auto Combination

Currently, Hyundai Verna is the only sedan in its segment, which is offered with a diesel-automatic mill. Many of us were expecting Honda to offer the same combination, but that's not the case.

Digital Instrument Cluster

The new 2020 Hyundai Verna sports a fully digital instrument cluster, which is inspired by the latest global cars. A digital instrument cluster looks sporty and enhances the overall premium appeal of the car. The new Honda City, on the other hand, will be offered with an instrument cluster that will have an all-digital readout but the needle of the speedometre stays analogue. Weird!

Ventilated Seats

Ventilated seats is a feature which is generally offered only by some high-end luxury cars. However, Hyundai Verna is the only car in its segment that is being offered with this feature. This feature is quite useful in a hot country like India. Unluckily, the new-gen Honda City won't have this feature.

Rear Disc Brakes

The new-gen Honda City will be offered with front disc and rear drum brakes. On the other hand, the Hyundai Verna is the only one to offer disc brakes at the rear on its Turbo variant.

Electric Adjustment For Driver Seat

The new 2020 Hyundai Verna is also offered with electric adjustment for driver's seat, which is a another premium feature found mostly on costlier cars. The new-gen City will be offered with manual adjustment for the driver seat. In the new Verna, the driver can easily adjust the incline, height and knee support via electric buttons.
