How about stargazing while sitting inside a last-gen Toyota Fortuner, seems impossible? Not anymore, check out this Fortuner with Rolls Royce like starlight headliner.

Rolls Royce’s starlight headliner is turning out to be a fast-pace adoption in other cars, but as an aftermarket modification only. We recently featured a modified Toyota Innova Crysta with a similar headliner installed in it. This time, however, we came across a last-gen Toyota Fortuner equipped with a similar starlight headliner. This job has been performed by the Motormind Automotive Designs. And, it can be seen that this is one of the best replicas of the Rolls Royce’s starlight headliner. Motormind has recently revealed a video of this Fortuner, and we admit the cabin does look majestic with this new headliner.

The folks at Motormind have used optical fibre in this headliner like the Rolls Royce. While the Rolls Royce uses almost 1,340 lamps to illuminate the roof in its setup, Motormind has not revealed the number of lamps used in this Fortuner. The SUV has been fitted with two touchscreen modules to operate the headliner. The touchscreens have been placed in the front two rows of the car. The screens offer the options of various colours, and 4 fade and flickering effects. However, the price of this modification is not mentioned in the video, but it is a time-consuming process.

Apart from the headliner, the Fortuner has also been fitted with two displays. They are mounted behind the front seats for the entertainment of rear seat occupants. On the outside, Motormind has fitted a new grille on this Fortuner, which features marker lamps as well. The factory-spec bumper has also been replaced with a stylish and chunkier unit.

The headliner on this modified Toyota Fortuner is breathtakingly beautiful.

The Fortuner is now in its second generation and is also due for a facelift, later this year. It is currently offered with two engine options – 2.7L petrol and 2.8L diesel. The smaller petrol motor produces 164 BHP/245 Nm, while the bigger 2.8L diesel churns out 174 BHP/450 Nm. The petrol motor is available with a 6-speed MT only, while the oil burner can be had with either a 6-speed MT or a 6-speed AT. However, with the manual transmission, the peak torque on the diesel engine is limited to 420 Nm only. Also, the diesel engine is offered with an optional four-wheel drive layout.
