New Teaser of Toyota Urban Cruiser Reveals More Details

The launch of the Toyota Urban Cruiser is just around the corner. The latest teaser of the upcoming Toyota Urban Cruiser gives us some hints of its final design.

Toyota Urban Cruiser will be the second product to be launched under the Maruti-Toyota partnership. Earlier, it is confirmed that Toyota Urban Cruiser will enter the market during the festive season. A few days ago, the Japanese car manufacturer released the first teaser of its new Toyota Urban Cruiser. Now, the second teaser is out, giving away more details of the future Toyota Urban Cruiser.

Toyota releases a new teaser for the upcoming Urban Cruiser

The latest teaser shed new light on the front design of the Toyota Urban Cruiser. First off, the Urban Cruiser gets a hexagonal grille with two horizontal slats, a dominant air dam, a new bumper and a pronounced faux front skid plate. In the earlier announcement, Toyota declared that the Toyota Urban Cruiser will have a different identity from the Maruti Brezza. Now, it seems that Toyota has stuck to its earlier statement.

However, the differences are limited to the front end avatar. For the rest of the design, the Toyota Urban Cruiser will not mess with the original structure. The rebadged model keeps a similar silhouette, the same alloy wheels and more. The new teaser drops hints of a dual-tone exterior scheme, black ORVMs with integrated turn indicators as well as an antenna on the roof.

From what we can see, Toyota has blended the Maruti Brezza’s styling with Toyota’s design philosophy. Even though the exterior design of the Urban Cruiser is not fully revealed yet, we can tell that the new Toyota Urban Cruiser will get a distinguished identity from the Maruti Brezza.

The interior of the Toyota Urban Cruiser is kept under the wrap. However, it is expected that no changes will be made. It will be more or less identical to the Brezza’s interior. If nothing changes, the rebadge SUV will get a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, push-button start-stop, hill-hold assist, automatic climate control, height-adjustable driver seat, keyless entry, and multifunction steering wheels. On the safety front, the Toyota Urban Cruiser will be available with ABS, EBD, front seat belt reminder, dual front airbags, and seatbelt pre-tensioner.

Under the hood, the Toyota Urban Cruiser will sport a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated 4-cylinder petrol engine. This engine can put out a top power of 105 PS and a maximum torque of 138 Nm. There will be two choices of transmissions, a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 4-speed automatic gearbox.
