Toyota releases a new teaser for the upcoming Urban Cruiser
The latest teaser shed new light on the front design of the Toyota Urban Cruiser. First off, the Urban Cruiser gets a hexagonal grille with two horizontal slats, a dominant air dam, a new bumper and a pronounced faux front skid plate. In the earlier announcement, Toyota declared that the Toyota Urban Cruiser will have a different identity from the Maruti Brezza. Now, it seems that Toyota has stuck to its earlier statement.
However, the differences are limited to the front end avatar. For the rest of the design, the Toyota Urban Cruiser will not mess with the original structure. The rebadged model keeps a similar silhouette, the same alloy wheels and more. The new teaser drops hints of a dual-tone exterior scheme, black ORVMs with integrated turn indicators as well as an antenna on the roof.

From what we can see, Toyota has blended the Maruti Brezza’s styling with Toyota’s design philosophy. Even though the exterior design of the Urban Cruiser is not fully revealed yet, we can tell that the new Toyota Urban Cruiser will get a distinguished identity from the Maruti Brezza.
The interior of the Toyota Urban Cruiser is kept under the wrap. However, it is expected that no changes will be made. It will be more or less identical to the Brezza’s interior. If nothing changes, the rebadge SUV will get a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, push-button start-stop, hill-hold assist, automatic climate control, height-adjustable driver seat, keyless entry, and multifunction steering wheels. On the safety front, the Toyota Urban Cruiser will be available with ABS, EBD, front seat belt reminder, dual front airbags, and seatbelt pre-tensioner.
Under the hood, the Toyota Urban Cruiser will sport a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated 4-cylinder petrol engine. This engine can put out a top power of 105 PS and a maximum torque of 138 Nm. There will be two choices of transmissions, a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 4-speed automatic gearbox.
