The festive season is the only time in India when most of the automakers launch their new products in our market. The upcoming festive season will be no different as it’ll witness big launches from mass-market producers like Kia and Toyota. Here’s a list of 5 new cars which are scheduled to hit the Indian shores next month.

Kia Sonet

Kia Sonet will be the third product from the carmaker in our market. Once launched, it’ll rival with the likes of Hyundai Venue, Maruti Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport and Tata Nexon. The new sub-4-meter SUV will be offered in two different trim level Tech Line (5 variants) and GT Line (1 variant). It’ll derive power from three different engine options- 1.2-litre petrol, 1.0-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre diesel. Transmission duties will be done by a 5-speed MT, 6-speed MT, a 6-speed AT and a 7-speed DCT.

Toyota Urban Cruiser

Next month, the Japanese automaker Toyota will launch the rebadged version of Maruti Vitara Brezza named as Urban Cruiser. Upfront, it’ll feature a revised grille, air dam and fog lamp assembly. Other than this, interior and feature will remain the same as the Vitara Brezza. Moreover, the engine options will also remain the same as it’ll get propelled by K15B gasoline mill, which will come paired with the company’s SHVS mild hybrid system. The engine will come paired with a manual and automatic gearbox. 

Toyota Innova Crysta CNG

Toyota will soon introduce the CNG model of Innova Crysta in India. Its official launch date and details are yet to be revealed by the automaker. It is reported to be introduced in our market in September. The CNG kit might be offered with the entry-level G variant with MT. The MPV will use a 2.7-litre, 4-pot unit that produces power and torque outputs of 166 PS and 245 Nm. 

Audi Q2

The German carmaker Audi has also planned to launch the new Q2 in India next month. It’ll be the smallest and most affordable SUV in the company’s line-up. Dimensionally, it’ll be 4,191 mm long, 1,794 mm wide and will have a wheelbase of 1,508 mm. The SUV will be based on VW’s MQB platform. It’ll derive power from a 2.0-litre turbo petrol unit, which churns out 190bhp and 320 Nm of twisting force. Transmission duties will be done by a 7-speed DCT.

Skoda Rapid Automatic

Skoda will introduce the Rapid automatic in Indian next month. The C2-sedan will be powered by a 1.0-litre turbocharged gasoline motor that produces power and torque outputs of 109bhp and 175 Nm. The engine will come mated to a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. It’ll compete with the likes of Maruti Ciaz, Hyundai Venue and Honda City.
