The Hyundai Kona EV is not only the first electric vehicle for India from the South Korean auto manufacturer but also the first electric SUV in the Indian auto market. Being a CBU import, the Kona EV comes with hige price tag, courtesy a huge import tax, which makes it too expensive for many customers. Nevertheless, with government programs like FAME-II, many incentives are available for the buyers. While the availability of the EV has so far been restricted to the new car market, recently, the first used Hyundai Kona EV has been put been on sale in India.

The EV is located in Gurugam, Haryana and is for sale for an asking price of INR 23.5 lakh. It is a dealership car which is used for test drives. Registered last year, the EV has only covered 5,5000 km, which is quite less. Looking at the images we have here, the vehicle is in great condition with no dents or scratches in the body. Ther car is still running on temporary registration. Whether the vehicle has been permanently registered or not remains unknown. If not, the purchaser will officially become the first possessor of this Hyundai Kona EV.

This is the top-spec variant of the Hyundai Kona EV which is equipped with all the bells and whistles. The vehicle receives its power from a 29.2 kWh battery pack which can deliver am ARAI-tested travel range of 452 kilometres on a single charge.

The figure in real condition can be lower than that. The Hyundai Kona EV is powered by quite a powerful electric motor which can deliver 134 BHP against 395 Nm.

It takes around 70 minutes for the Kona EV to be fully charged with a regular charger; however, it takes only 57 minutes for the car to be charged to 80% with a fast-charging system. A 7.2 kW home charger package is also provided, which helps the EV cover 50 kilometres with a one-hour charge. The Kona EV comes with three-year unlimited kilometre warranty, which will help the buyers a lot in the car maintenance.
