The Volkswagen Polo continues chugging along even if it first arrived in India a decade ago. The hatchback recently received a new variant - the Polo Comfortline Turbo Edition, and today we have this walkaround video of it.

The Volkswagen Polo was launched in India in 2010, and over its 10 years of being on sale, it has received some of the most subtle facelifts. In international markets, a new generation Polo is on sale, itself ready to make way for the next-generation model soon. The Polo received a new engine last year to be BS-VI compliant and recently, the automaker launched a new Turbo edition for the Comfortline trim level. Today we came across this detailed walkaround video of the Polo Comfortline Turbo Edition.

The video has been uploaded by Wagen Tales on YouTube. From the exterior, the Polo Comfortline Turbo Edition looks largely the same as the non-turbo variant but comes with a few changes to make it distinct. There’s a new Turbo badge on the front fender, contrast black ORVMs, 15-inch diamond cut multi-spoke alloy wheels and a gloss black spoiler. Over to the interior, the Polo Comfortline Turbo Edition comes with new dual-tone leather seat covers with a diamond stitch pattern, Climatronic automatic AC and a flat-bottomed steering wheel. Prices for the 2020 Volkswagen Polo range between Rs 6.16 lakh – Rs 9.99 lakh, ex-showroom. You can buy one for considerably cheaper as you can get massive discounts on the Polo. The Polo has been showing its age for a while now, and Volvo has been trying to incentivize new customers by offering these large discounts, along with exchange offers and a loyalty bonus.

To meet the newer and stricter BS-VI emission norms, the Volkswagen Polo older 1.5-litre diesel engines and 1.2-litre TSI engine has been discontinued. It gets a new 3-pot TSI turbo-petrol instead, which makes 110 PS and 175 Nm of peak power and torque figures. It can be mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter auto, with the 7-speed DSG not available anymore.
