Premium hatchbacks are loved for their proportionate and un-compromised silhouette, which is not the case with the similarly priced compact-sedans or compact-SUVs. There are lot of premium hatchbacks on sale in the country today, but the Hyundai i20 is the chicest-looking of all. It has been recently launched in its third-gen iteration and has managed to clock good sales figures in just a month. The premium hatchback dons a sporty design and can make for a great project car. In the video, the digital artist can be seen modifying the i20 to boast of a sporty appeal. It has been shod with a set of bigger alloy wheels with a concave design theme. Moreover, it has been lowered to reduce the ride height and centre of gravity for better handling. Other cosmetic changes include a revised front bumper with an extended splitter and redesigned fog lamp housings. The headlamps are also tweaked a bit and look inspired by the Ford Mustang. They now get three LED slats that resemble a shark’s gill. On the sides, the tuner has added a lot of drama with the help of faux air vents on the fenders and body-coloured side skirts. A massive aero wing can also be seen at the rear. On the whole, this modified new-gen i20 looks the race-ready for sure.

In the Indian market, Hyundai i20 is available with three choices of engines – 1.2L Kappa petrol, 1.5L oil burner, and 1.0L turbo-petrol. The Kappa motor puts out 88 PS and 113 Nm, and it can be had mated to either a 5-speed MT or a CVT. The oil burner is a direct lift from the Venue and pushes out 100 PS against 240 Nm and is solely available with a 6-speed MT. The most powerful motor of the lot – 1.0L turbo-petrol unit, produces 120 PS of peak power and 172 Nm of max torque. It is available with two transmission choices – 6-speed iMT and 7-speed DCT.
