At the moment, Honda Civic is available at the starting price of Rs 18.04 lakh. The top-spec model’s price can go up to Rs 22.45 lakh (ex-showroom). It comes in three variants, V, VX and ZX. About the powertrain options, the Civic is offering two engines, a 1.8-litre petrol engine and a 1.6-litre diesel engine. While the former can make 141 PS and 174 Nm, the latter is good for 120 PS and 300 Nm. There are both automatic and manual gearboxes on offer. However, the petrol Honda Civic only gets CVT gearbox. The manual gearbox is mated exclusively to 6-speed manual gearbox. Overall, the Honda Civic is one of the top options for a sedan under 30 lakh.

Skoda Superb

Skoda is currently running a small range of vehicles. Despite the small number of offers, the Czech car brand can provide some attractive offers in the sedan segment. The most popular vehicle on Skoda line-up is the Skoda Rapid sedan. For the more premium segment, there are the Skoda Octavia and Skoda Superb. Among these two cars, the Skoda Superb is more affordable. This model is available in two variants, Sportline and Laurin & Klement. While the former is priced at Rs 29.99 lakh, the latter costs Rs 32.99 lakh. The Superb might be a bit tight for a budget of 30 lakh, but it is still worth to stretch the budget a bit.

Earlier this year, Skoda has launched the Superb facelift with several minor design updates along with new engine options. Hyundai Elantra

Hyundai Elantra is a good sedan under 30 lakh from the South Korean carmaker. The sedan has just received a BSVI update earlier this year. Along with the launch of the new BSVI model, Hyundai has also discontinued the base S petrol variant. It is now available in two variants, SX and SX (O). After the discontinuation of the Hyundai Elantra, the prices of this sedan has also increased by Rs 1.71 lakh. It is on sale from Rs 17.60 lakh.

This sedan is now available with two engine options, which are a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine and a 1.5-litre turbo diesel. The petrol engine is capable of making 115PS and 250Nm while the diesel engine is capable of making a maximum power of 128PS and a top torque of 260Nm.
