What Are the Most Affordable BMW Cars In India?

Pricing is one of the biggest concerns when it comes to buying cars. It was the most critical thing to consider especially in the entry-level segment. The same remains true even in the more expensive and upmarket segment like luxury cars. For the same amount of money, the customers can comfortably afford attractive and well-equipped models from the regular car brand, however, some car buyers are willing to scratch their budget to purchase entry-level cars from luxury car brand. BMW X1

As aforementioned, BMW X1 is the BMW lowest price car in India. It is the only car on BMW’s line-up that costs less than Rs 40 lakh (ex-showroom). The X1 is now on offer in four variants, sDrive20i SportX, sDrive20i xLine, sDrive20d xLine, and sDrive20d M Sport.

The X1 is available with both diesel and petrol engine. Compared with other cars of the BMW or other cars of the same price, the BMW is not as well-equipped and feature-rich. However, it offers a superb driving experience and excellent ride quality.

It gets some decent features, for example, a panoramic sunroof, cruise control, rear AC vent, power-adjustable front seats with memory function, tyre pressure monitoring system and dual-zone climate control. Admittedly, for a car of this price bracket, it should have included features like head-up display, passive keyless entry system, 360-degree camera, powered tailgate, front parking sensors and digital instrument cluster.

BMW 3 Series

Priced from Rs 41.4 lakh, the 3 Series sedan is the second-lowest priced cars on German auto giant’s Indian line-up. It is available in three trims, the base Sport Line, mid-range Luxury Line and the top-spec M Sport.

BMW 3 Series can offer good looks and amazing performance

About the engine, the luxury sedan comes with two choices of engines, a 330i petrol and a 320d diesel engine. Both of these engines deliver a punchy performance that will definitely put a smile on your face. However, just like the X1, the package of the 3 Series is missing out on important features like a 360-degree camera, keyless entry and Android Auto compatibility for the infotainment system. The interior space also feels a little bit tight for a chauffeur-driven car.

BMW 3 Series GT

The 3 Series GT is the Gran Turismo version of the 3 Series. There was a rumour that the BMW will drop the GT version after the launch of the new BMW 3 Series. However, this fastback 3 Series is now still available in two variants, Luxury Line and M Sport. While the Luxury Line variant is powered by a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine, the M Sport derives power from a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. Both of the variants are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.

BMW 5 Series

At the price from Rs 55.4 Lakh to 68.4 Lakh, the 5 Series comes with sufficient premium features and comfort. With the 5 Series, you can enjoy the true meaning of a luxury car with the comfort-feature loaded and lounge-like interior. It gets the top-notch features like sunroof, 10.25-touchscreen infotainment system with gesture control, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, 360-degree camera with parking assist, wireless charging, display key and remote control parking. 

BMW 5 Series comes with the true sense of luxury 

The existing 5 Series model is offered with three engine options including a 520d 2.0-litre diesel, a 530d 3.0-litre diesel and a 530i 2.0-litre petrol unit. As per a current report, the Munich-based carmaker is going to launch the facelift version of the 5 Series next year. The new facelift 5 Series is likely to continue with the existing engines line-up along with the addition of a new plug-in hybrid variant.

BMW X3

BMW X3 is the most affordable SUV models offered by BMW and one of the BMW lowest price cars in India. The mid-sized SUV’s starting price is Rs 56.0 lakh however, the top-spec variant is priced at only 60.9 lakh which is lower than the top-spec 5 Series.

This is a good option if you are looking for a luxury SUV under 60 lakh, which can serve as a family car. It comes with tech-loaded and spacious interior along with strong road presence. The excellent handling also gives you the sporty driving experience. It is available with two engines, a 3.0-litre diesel engine and a 2.0-litre petrol engine. 

All models listed above are the lowest BMW price cars in India for the new car market. However, if you can not afford the new BMW cars, you can opt for the used BMW cars which are more affordable.
