The BMW X4 Spotted Testing In India

The 2019 BMW X4 has been caught testing on the Indian roads without any camouflage prior to its launch by the first quarter of 2019.

Last Tuesday, the India-bound BMW X4 has clearly revealed in its on-road testing without camouflage. The all-new BMW X4 is the second coupe SUV in the German automaker lineup. It is slated to come in the Indian auto space during the first half of 2019.

By the leaked image, the X4 will takes some design cues from the BMW X3 sibling but it comes with a more aggressive front bumper and wider air intakes. It will roll out with a coupe-liking appearance with a notchback in the rear. Built on the BMW’s CLAR architecture, the X4 will measure 44 mm longer, 55 mm lower and 27 mm wider along with the same wheelbase of 2864 mm as compared to the outgoing BMW X3.

Speaking about the mechanical terms, the BMW X4 is anticipated to be equipped with petrol and diesel engine options. It is likely to come with either 4 or 6 cylinders in the petrol and diesel motors which are all aligned with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The car will offer the all-wheel-drive system as standard on the BMW models. The details of the engine specs of the new X4 are still under the wrap. However, we expect that the X4 xDrive30i and xDrive 30d will possibly come to churn out 253 hp/350 Nm and 265hp/ 620 Nm, respectively.

The upcoming celebrated BMW X4 is expected to be an agile athlete with the all-new BMW’s Driving Experience Control System that can enable shifting the driving modes for the better handling and responsiveness in different driving situations.

Heavily influenced by the X3 brother, the car will be available with the most state-of-the-art features and an overhauled sense of cosiness.

The 2019 BMW X4 is estimated to cost around Rs 60 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and compete aggressively against the Range Rover Evoque.
