Toyota Camry TRD Edition Revealed In New Teaser

In an effort to expand its TRD vehicle lineup, Toyota has developed the Camry TRD which is going to globally debut at Los Angeles Auto Show from November 28. Yesterday, the Japanese carmaker released a teaser of the new Camry TRD via social networks that draws great attention from global enthusiasts.

The sport sedan appears with more aggressive wheels with low profile tyres providing better grip, control and predictability that can be beneficial to the braking and cornering on dry roads. The model also comes with a body kit that consists of red stripes at the bottom. The suspension components will be revived as well to speed up the new Camry. On the inside are a couple of tweaks that illustrate the sporty image and TRD badges.

The powertrain with the TRD exhaust will come featured with a 3.5-litre V6 engine tuned for 300 hp of max power. It will come mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Although there is no detail of the India-spec Camry TRD, the eight-gen Toyota Camry is confirmed to reach our shores by the first quarter of 2019 with a 2.5-litre petrol engine and a 118 hp electric motor. It will be positioned at around Rs 39 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) to compete against the likes of upcoming Skoda Superb, Volkswagen Passat and Honda Accord.
