Upcoming Mahindra Cars in 2019 In India

Mahindra will introduce some new models in 2019, including the all-new XUV300 and the eKUV100 along with the facelift of TUV300.

After the two big launches in 2018 of the MVP Marazzo and the Alturas G4, Mahindra will come to 2019 with a host of new cars that will soon be launched in the Indian market. Each launch of Mahindra always promises to bring something exciting for the customers. So does the upcoming debuts and updates in 2019. Here is the list of all the Mahindra models that will come in 2019.

1. Mahindra XUV300

Mahindra will start their new year with the launch of the compact SUV in their portfolio. The name of the S201 SUV has been recently revealed – It will be called Mahindra XUV300.

Mahindra brings on the new platform of the Tivoli developed by SsangYong, the South Korean company that was acquired by Mahindra. The XUV300, ahead of its launch, is revealed to be well-equipped with a load of premium and upmarket features, for example, sunroof, push start/stop button, a large touchscreen and dual-zone climate control.

What’s more, the Mahindra XUV300 will especially score high on the safety front. Some safety techs that you can expect to see on the XUV include the whopping seven airbags, ABS with EDB, Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and four wheel disc brakes.

The sub-compact SUV will be powered by the same engine on the Marazzo which is the 1.5-litre diesel engine (121bhp/300Nm). The engine will be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.

Mahindra also confirmed their plan to expend XUV300 production with an electric version of the car to arrive in 2020. For now, the XUV300, after launch, will compete directly with other hot SUVs like Maruti Vitara Brezza, Ford Ecosport and Tata Nexon.

2. Mahindra TUV300

Mahindra will update their another compact SUV – the TUV300 in 2019. With the upcoming facelift, the TUV300 could improve their performance on the market. The facelift will come with some new features like the Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), reserve camera.

On the exterior, the TUV300 will be refreshed slightly with a redesigned bumper and addition of LED DRLs with projector headlamp. Under the hood, the diesel version will be the same 1.5-litre engine that powers the ongoing TUV300. This unit on the recent TUV300 could produce about 100bhp and 240Nm. This unit is going to be packed with the old transmission of an automatic and manual gearbox.

Expected price: Rs 8.5 – 11 lakh

3. Mahindra eKUV100

Mahindra was the first car manufacturer in India to venture into the electric vehicles segment. The first attempt doesn’t meet a huge success but knowing that the upcoming year will see the blooming of this segment in India with many carmakers preparing to launch their own electric models, Mahindra will not give up. In 2019, they will launch the eKUV100 which is based on the ongoing KUV100.

First displayed on the Auto Expo 2018, the eKUV100 concept was armed with the same 30 kW motor and a battery pack on the eVerito. But to the production version, it will take on a revised electric motor. As far as we know, Mahindra is developing high-density batteries along with a higher-productive electric system that could generate around 90 to 165kW, equal to 120 to 204bhp.

Expected Price: Rs 10 lakh

Expected Launch Date: April 2019
