With a view to further penetrating into the Indian fast-growing compact SUV segment, the South Korean automaker is planning to launch the Carlino compact SUV by April 2019 (just the expected time). The 2019 Hyundai Carlino is likely to be powered by 1.0L T-GDi turbocharged petrol motor with three cylinders. This engine can deliver a 118bhp of max power at 6,000rpm and 171Nm of peak torque between 1,500 – 4,000rpm. The power will be sent to the two front wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox.
Another engine option for the 2019 Hyundai Carlino will be a diesel-powered motor. To be more specific, a 1.4L U2 CRDi diesel engine will also provide power for the compact SUV. This motor can generate a max power of 89bhp at 4,000rpm and a peak torque of 220Nm at 1,500 – 2,750rpm. Transmission options include a 6-speed MT and a 4-speed AT gearbox.

Hyundai has not yet revealed how fuel-efficient its new Carlino might be. But according to a press release, while the petrol unit is likely to churn out a mileage range of 18kmpl – 19kmp, the diesel one is expected to deliver a mileage of 24kmpl – 25kmpl.
The variants of the 2019 Hyundai Carlino have not yet been revealed by the Southern Korean automaker. We will inform you as soon as the information regarding this matter is disclosed.
Like other new Hyundai cars which have a slightly higher price than their rivals, the Hyundai Carlino is expected to be priced at Rs 8 lakh for the base variant and Rs 12 lakh for the top-spec variant.
