Mahindra & Mahindra India plans on producing more variants in KUV100 line-up which are an all-electric version and an ATM diesel model. Apart from this expanding, the automaker also gears up updating the model to meet the requirement of the emissions norms and the crash test.

M&M has recently revealed that the automaker had worked on the AMT-gearbox during the launch of the face-lifted KUV100 NXT taken place in October last year.

In a press release, it is said that the KUV100 NXT equipped an AMT gearbox will have its new presence in the diesel variant. Meanwhile, the petrol variant will remain unchanged to be sold in a 5-speed manual. The report also mentioned that the Indian automaker had been working on developing the KUV100 profile with the aims to have a good preparation for the upcoming crash test norms which will take place in October 2019.
Regard of the performance, The KUV100 offers two option which are
1.2-litre petrol engine
1.2-litre diesel engine
These variants produce 83hp and 78hp respectively. Mahindra automaker also started processing updating these engines to clear stringent BS-VI norms which will come into effect in 2020.
As for the addition of an electric version, Mahindra has also claimed to expand KUV100 line-up with an electric version in the future. At the 2018 Auto Expo, eKUV100 has made its debut for the first time. Being similar with the eVerito in terms of the power which are 30kW motor, it is now available at the dealerships. Apart from the range of 140km, the model is claimed offer fast charging, in which, 80 percent being charged in less than an hour.
