MG Motors has showcased 360M MPV, a compact MPV that could take on the likes of Maruti Ertiga. Other potential rivals include Datsun Go+ and Renault Triber.

Regards the exterior design, MG 360M will feature a very unique MPV styling with some familiar MG components such as a honeycomb MG grille with chrome lining, pinched third-quarter glass, etc. In terms of the interior design, the 360M model which was on display at the Auto Expo 2020 is equipped with a host of top-notch features including an electronic sunroof, an electrically-adjusted driver’s seat, captain second seat row and a 360-degree parking camera.
As for the powertrains, the 360M receives its power from a 1.5-litre 4-cyl naturally aspirated petrol engine which can generate a maximum power of 105 PS against a peak torque of 135 Nm and is mated to a CVT unit. With this engine, the 360M directly takes the likes of the Maruti Ertiga and the XL6 which also come with a 1.5-litre petrol engine with similar output figures.

The 360M will be locally assembled in MG Motor’s Halol plant in Gujrat; therefore, a high level of localization can be expected, which will translate into an aggressive price list. All of these will help the 360M become another hot seller for the Chinese-owned-British automaker in the coming years after the MG Hector.
MG Motors has already recorded a great deal of success with its Hector SUV, the best seller in the segment which helps the brand from a newcomer, become a popular name with the Indian auto buyers. After the success of the MG Hector, the automaker has great plans for the Indian auto market with a host of models including the recently launched MG ZS, the upcoming Gloster/Maxus D90 SUV, etc.
