Unlike the existing model of Hyundai Xcent, the new one will have a more angular and suave appearance. To be more specific, the new features include
Projector headlamps with LED DRLs
Hyundai cascade grille typical of Hyundai
Novel alloy wheels
Longer rear doors
Updated bumpers
LED taillights
According to press release, the 2020 Hyundai Xcent is going to share the under-testing-phase platform with the new Grand i10 hatchback, codenamed as AI3.
All of these new features contribute to the premium appeal of the new Hyundai Xcent.
The 2020 Hyundai Xcent exterior has been tweaked to make the car more appealing
Hyundai will also make some prominent tweaks to the new Xcent interior as well. The following features will possibly be added to the new XCent:
Brand-new steering wheel
Dual-pod instrument cluster
New touchscreen infotainment system which supports Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink connectivity
12V socket
Rear USB charging ports
Air conditioner vents
Sunroof
Refreshed seat coverings
Moreover, the inside cabin will be more spacious to optimize the passengers’ comfort. More headroom, shoulde room and legroom are expected to be provided, particularly to the passengers in the rear seats.
The 2020 Hyundai Excent interior has been also been updated with a more spacious cabin
It might be too early to speculate the mechanical specifications of the new vehicle, but we can expect that it will have the same BSVI powertrains as the upcoming Grand i10, which will be launched next year. It has also been confirmed by the South Korean automaker that its forthcoming products will come with Smart Auto AMT unit which will be introduced with the 2018 Hyundai Santro. The AMT gearbox will take the place of the current torque converter gearbox on the Hyundan sedan carline.
Until now, there has been no official word about the 2020 Hyundai Excent's mechanical specifications
Once launched, the new 2020 Hyundai Xcent is expected to take on the likes of Volkswagen Ameo, Ford Aspire, Honda Amaze and Maruti Dzire.
