Like other auto manufacturers, Tata Motors has also offered car customers with many sales benefits to attract customers to their showrooms. Some of the Tata flagship models are also being offered with discounts of up to INR 45,000 to front line workers.

In an attempt to attract more customers to their showroom in the current time of nationwide-lockout, Tata Motors is implementing instalment schemes of up to eight years and on-road price financing, which are two measures taken by the homegrown automaker to overcome this difficult time. Furthermore, up to INR 45,000-worth discounts on the Tata Nexon, Harrier, Tigor and Tiago are also being offered to the frontline workers as an encouragement for their hard work. Noteworthily, Tata Motors has confirmed that the new discount scheme will not be applied to the newly-launched Tata Altroz. Nevertheless, several dealers are willing to negotiate the price with the customers so that the new hatchback can be bought with some savings.

The Tata Altroz is priced from INR 5.29 lakh to INR 9.29 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). In the Indian auto market, the hatchback competes against the Maruti Baleno, the Toyota Glanza, the Honda Jazz and the Hyundai i20. After the BS6 emission standards take effect, the South Korean automaker has decided to discontinue the 1.4-litre oil burner, which makes the Hyundai i20 has become a petrol-only vehicle. On the other hand, Honda is upgrading the Jazz to make it comply with the stricter norms. The petrol-only Glanza and Baleno have already compiled with the BS6 standards for quite some time now.
