Earlier this year, Tata Motor has launched the facelift Tata Nexon. The new model comes with some significant exterior updates. However, recently, it is reported that Tata Motor will include a small design update for the existing Nexon model. Instead of the old tri-arrow grille, the new Nexon will adopt a new tri-arrow grille design. This design update has been confirmed by Tata Motor via its notification to its dealerships.
Tata Nexon will come with a bi-arrow grille design instead of the current tri-arrow grille
Since its debut, the grille of the Tata Nexon has been a topic for discussion since the tri-arrow pattern looks similar to the Mercedes-Benz’s widely-recognized three-point star logo. In the new model, Tata Motor has decided to make a change to make Nexon’s grille more distinctive.

On the existing model, the front grille sports seven tri-arrow elements. However, on the new version, these tri-arrow elements will be replaced with seven bi-arrow highlights on the grille. Even though one arrow is missing, the grille design still retains the symmetry approach. On each side, there will be three bi-arrow signs pointing outward with one bi-arrow element on the centre pointing upward
However, the twist here is that Tata Motors will not include this new design element across the range. Instead, the bi-arrow grille design is limited to be used on the top-spec variants from XZ+ trim upwards. For the rest, Tata Motors will continue to apply the old bi-arrow design.
Tata will offer this new design element for the upper variants only
The facelift Tata Nexon is available with two choices of BSVI-ready engines, 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol and a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine. While the former is capable of making a top power of 118 BHP and maximum torque of 170 Nm, the latter’s power outputs are rated at 108 BHP and 260 Nm. There are two transmission options including a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed AMT gearbox.
