Facelifted 2020 Kwid has been spotted again in Pune Maharashtra. The upcoming hatchback carry some subtle upgrades on the inside and outside.

French carmaker Renault is all set to launch the facelift of their entry-level hatchback Kwid in the forthcoming year. Two weeks ago the 2020 Renault Kwid was spied for the very first time and, now the facelifted hatchback is spotted again in Pune, Maharashtra.

The main aim of the Kwid facelift is to offer an SUV-inspired city car to the customers

Renault Kwid first launched in 2015, the hatchback performed exceptionally well sales to Renault initially, but it failed to continue its charm as it started nearing the middle of its lifecycle. The main focus of the 2020 Kwid facelift is to offer an SUV-inspired city car to the customers.

The hatchback to get upgraded with a new MediaNav infotainment system, instrument cluster and upholstery

The all-new 2020 Renault Kwid will come equipped with a new radiator grille, two-tier front light setup, new lower grille comprising three horizontal slats, restyled bumpers, new wheel caps and tweaked tail lamps. Moreover, the hatchback will also offer LED DRLs which looks quite upmarket. The facelifted Kwid carries some subtle tweaks on the inside. We expect that the hatchback to get upgraded with a new MediaNav infotainment system, instrument cluster and upholstery.

The updated Renault Kwid will get a price tag somewhere between Rs 2.75 lakh and INR 3.00 lakh.

The 2020 Renault Kwid belt out power form the same 0.8- and 1.0-litre SCe three-cylinder petrol engines. Both the petrol engines in the facelifted Kwid will be BS-VI compliant. The 0.8-litre, three-cylinder engine is good at churning out respective power and torque outputs of 54 Ps and 68 Nm. On the other hand, the more powerful 1.-litre, three-cylinder petrol unit develops 72 Ps of power and 91 Nm of peak torque. Both the engines will come adjoined to a 5-speed manual and AMT. The current Renault Kwid model carries a price tag of Rs 2.71 lakh while the facelifted version is expected to demand a bit higher than the outgoing model. It will get a price tag somewhere between Rs 2.75 lakh and INR 3.00 lakh. Renault is also launching its first MPV in India in July. The new MPV is named as Triber. The Renault Triber sits on a modified version of the Renault Kwid's CMF-A platform. For more updates regarding the 2020 Kwid or Triber MPV stay tuned to the Indian Auto.
